Where have you been?
Interactive project about our unintentional connections

For this project I explored the connections we all have with our homes and the unintentional connections we all share through our travels around the world, despite now living in the same area. This idea came to mind as the only Latina in my cohort (Masters) and how surprising it was to hear about each other's trips because the world is so large, yet we're all somehow connected, whether through culture, fandoms, tastes, or goals. This exercise showed my classmates and me how much we didn't know about each other and how interesting and enriching it is to learn about our stories.

Participants were invited to share their trips. In the physical version a world map is drawn on the floor and participants are given different colored chalk or tape to trace their journeys, this encourages playful behaviours and informality which showed to be a great way to connect emotionally with the public and each other.
